I really Enjoyed last night’s prayer meeting in church. The worship was great and the prayer was great. We prayed for a lot of people and also for what is happening in Japan at this time.
For prayer last night we went up and down the rows, taking a minute each to pray for something or someone. This reminded me of what it was like the first time I ever prayed in public. As each person finished their prayer, it was a prayer closer to me. I sat praying the meeting would be over before it reached me, it didn’t. I prayed for about 30 seconds, so fast it was incoherent. After the meeting though, I felt good. I had prayed for the first time in a meeting.
This morning I got a phone call from a guy in our meeting last night who prayed for the first time. He loved it. He felt good that he had participated in a prayer meeting.
It is those wee things that make the difference, seeing others grow in their relationship with God. That’s what it is all about.
